It may come as no surprise to discover I, too, had a winning scratchcard on holiday. I can’t remember why we accepted the thing, last day, feeling a little vague and all that.
However, we didn’t go on the tour of the hotel or accept the free holiday. Don’t think we missed out on much.

I try to remember this when the complaints pour in about two regular right-wing homophobic commenters.
The homophobic stuff is removed.
Save our libraries
Going to the library was a weekly event when I was a small child.
My family were very poor and my parents could not afford to buy books so we went to the library.
Even when my parents were better off the library was handy for homework and the occasional novel.
When I was a trainee reporter doing my NCTJ course, I used the local library to find out all I could about local groups.
